National Instruments PCI-8517/2 FlexRay Interface Device

The NI PCI-8517/2 is an Interface Device with 2 ports and a NI-XNET FlexRay Interface. FlexRay Interface Devices allow PCs to link to and communicate on a FlexRay bus. Since there are two FlexRay interface ports available on this device, the PCI-8517/2 allows a separate engine control unit to be linked to the interface when other types of cold-start nodes are not accessible. The interfaces can additionally be utilized separately to link two individual FlexRay networks, while upholding complete performance on both interfaces. This device has TJA1080 transceivers, which can be used for cold-start and normal applications.
