National Instruments ISC-1780 Smart Camera

Featured with a Dual-Core 1.58 GHz Microprocessor, the National Instruments NI ISC-1780 (Part Numbers: 785143-01, 785141-01, 785142-01, 785140-01) is a Color/Monochrome Smart Camera. This model is designed for machine vision and offers high-performance image acquisition. The NI ISC-1780 comes equipped with integrated digital I/O and other communication options. Thus, it directly connects to human-machine interfaces (HMIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial machinery, robotics, and sensors.

Users can configure this camera to acquire images based on an external trigger signal or internal timing. For internal timing, the NI ISC-1780 uses an onboard clock. The configured external event triggers the acquisition of each frame when the unit is configured to operate with external triggering enabled. This high-quality, industrial camera offers software-based exposure control time.

The National Instruments ISC-1780 is designed to operate in harsh industrial environments and is built to comply with IP67. The image sensor incorporated in this model is a 0.3 Mega Pixel CMOS type sensor which can acquire images at up to 292 fps and up to 147 fps while operating in monochrome and color mode respectively. Moreover, the sensor has a broad shutter speed range of 50 µs to 4.2 s, 7.1 µs, and 7.1 µs external trigger latency.

The NI ISC-1780 has four general purpose current sourcing or current sinking current inputs and three current sinking digital outputs.  This model supports two operating systems: NI Linux Real-Time and Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise. For networking over the Ethernet, the user can utilize the standard 100/100 Mbps Network port as well.
