National Instruments USRP-2955 USRP Software Defined Radio Device

Featured with 4 input channels, the NI USRP-2955 (Part Number: 785264-01) is a USRP Software Defined Radio Device. This device comes equipped with a highly precise Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) as its internal clock. The OCXO incorporated in the USRP-2955 is GPS-Disciplined, since the device receives a timing synchronization through the GPS antenna. The NI USRP-2955 features a fully programmable Kintex 7 FPGA. Users can access and reconfigure the integrated FPGA of this device using compatible software, such as the National Instruments LabVIEW FPGA Module.

The National Instruments USRP-2955 USRP Software Defined Radio Device is considered a powerful testing tool for a wide range of applications, such as direction finding, wideband recording, radar prototyping, and signal intelligence. The 4 input channels on this device can operate within a frequency range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz with 80 MHz of maximum real-time instantaneous bandwidth and up to 100 MS/s maximum I/Q sample rate. The analog radio signals received through these channels are then converted to digital signals through a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter. The FPGA handles all the communication between this USRP Software Defined Radio Device and the host computer.

The NI USRP-2955 comes with two methods to communicate with the host system: Ethernet and PCIe. Through Ethernet, 1G or 10G connectivity is possible. Via PCIe, the device can stream data back to your PXI chassis or desktop computer at transfer rates up to 800 MB/s. For high-channel and high-bandwidth applications, you are allowed to use as many as 17 USRP-2955 or other I/O devices with a single PXI Express chassis.
