GPIB-VXI/C, 4 MB RAM, 1 Slot, VXIbus Module
National Instruments GPIB-VXI/C VXIbus Module
The National Instruments GPIB-VXI/C (part number: 777126-01) is a high-performance C-sized VXIbus module. This module acts as a bridge, converting GPIB signals and protocols into VXIbus signals and protocols. The GPIB-VXI/C allows a GPIB Controller to seamlessly control VXIbus instruments as well as GPIB instruments.
At its core, the GPIB-VXI/C serves as the system Resource Manager (RM), expertly performing essential functions such as VXIbus startup configuration, self-test, initialization, and Slot 0-related services. It boasts a 16-MHz 68070 microprocessor, with the option to integrate a 16-MHz 68882 coprocessor for enhanced performance. 4 MB of RAM ensures smooth operation and efficient data processing.
The compact C-size GPIB-VXI/C utilizes only one slot. It features Class 1, TTL local bus keying for seamless integration into your existing system. The front panel showcases a range of indicators, including SYSFAIL and FAILED (both in red), TEST (green), ONLINE (green), and ACCESS (yellow), providing clear status updates at a glance.
Operating within a wide temperature range of 0 to 55 °C and a relative humidity of 0 to 95% (noncondensing), the GPIB-VXI/C guarantees stable performance even in challenging environments. Harnessing the power of VXIbus, the GPIB-VXI/C functions as both a Message-Based Commander and a Message-Based Servant, ensuring versatile control and communication. Its generous dual-ported (shared) memory capacity of up to 4 MB allows for seamless data exchange and efficient multitasking. For added flexibility, there are three programmable VXIbus interrupt handlers available.
The front panel indicators provide clear status updates, featuring a red SYSFAIL and FAILED indicator for critical alerts, while the TEST, ON LINE, and ACCESS indicators illuminate in green and yellow, providing quick visual feedback on system status.
To cater to your connectivity needs, this CPU Microprocessor comes with a range of front panel connectors, including RS-232 and GPIB interfaces, allowing for effortless data transfer and control. Additionally, the system offers Trigger input and output connectors, along with an external 10-MHz clock input, providing versatile synchronization options.
