The PCIe-6321 (Part Number: 781044-01) is a 16 AI, 2 AO, 24 DIO PCI Express based Multifunction I/O Device from the X Series by National Instruments. On a single analog channel or multiple channels, the PCIe-6321 NI can acquire samples at a rate of 250 kS/s. The four general purpose counters can be utilized for various counter and position measurements, such as two-pulse encoding, edge counting, pulse width, period, semi-period, two-edge separation, and more. These counters operate with 0 to 25 MHz external base clock frequency at 50 ppm base clock accuracy. The device has an operational temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C.
The device has an analog input with 16 single ended/8 differential channels, and an analog input with 2 channels. The PCIe-6321 has a digital I/O with 24 channels in total, and has 8 DMA channels which can be used for analog input, analog output, digital input, digital output, counter/timer 0, counter/timer 1, counter/timer 2, counter/timer 3.
The National Instruments PCIe-6321 X Series Device supports external digital triggers through any PFI and RTSI source. This model comes equipped with several digital waveform generations and waveform acquisition functions, such as a start/pause trigger, sample clock, reference trigger, and a sample clock timebase. This device can be self-calibrated. National Instruments suggests calibrating the NI PCIe-6321 device when the ambient temperature is altered and after installation.
