National Instruments 777145-01 Connector Block

Part Number 777145-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments CB-68LP Connector Block. It is used in data acquisition applications with a 68-pin DAQ device.

The I/O connector on the 777145-01 is a 68-pin male SCSI connector. Likewise, it also features 68 screw terminals, where all the I/O signals are available. The size of the wire that can be accommodated in the terminals ranges between 0.0509 mm² to 3.31 mm². Likewise, the recommended torque is 0.5 N-m.

To use the 777145-01 with a DAQ device, you will need the following accessories: suitable cables for the device, a 0.125 in. flathead screwdriver, a 12 to 30 AWG wire, wire cutters, and a write insulation stripper. In the first step, you must connect the wires to the screw terminal by stripping 6 mm of insulation, inserting the wire, and securely tightening the screws.  Then, you should connect the module to a DAQ device using an appropriate cable. To test the DAQ device, you must open up the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and see if the device is recognized. If the system recognizes the DAQ device, you can then configure the device settings. Finally, to test specific device functionality, you must run a test panel in MAX.

The 777145-01 measures 5.65 in. × 4.23 in. × 1.18 in. in physical dimensions and weighs 5.4 oz. The module is recommended for indoor use only and must be installed inside an enclosure before use. The module has an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C while it can be stored at the range of -20 to 70 °C. The recommended relative humidity range for both the operation and storage is 5 to 90%. Likewise, the maximum altitude for the operation of the module is 2000m. Furthermore, the voltages connected to the block must be within 30 Vrms or 42 Vp or 60 VDC for safety purposes. Likewise, the connector block should not be used for measurements within Categories II, III, or IV, and shielding might be necessary for proper EMC performance.
