National Instruments DIN-BNC Adapter

The National Instruments DIN-BNC is a dedicated adapter that has been designed to provide easy signal connectivity and routing for data acquisition (DAQ) systems, especially in industrial and laboratory settings. Compatible with installations on DIN rail, the adapter allows mounting flexibly and securely within a control panel or test setup. Engineered specifically for interfacing with Multifunction DAQ devices, it connects using a robust 68-pin connector. The DIN-BNC adapter helps to simplify complex wiring and support extended analog input and digital I/O functionality, therefore it is ideal where precise signal measurements and control are required.

The DIN-BNC has BNC connectors and a position screw terminal that provides support for a number of signal types. It provides differential mode for a better and more accurate analog input measurement; it can also be configured as single-ended input where extra channels are desired. The design supports the connection of floating or ground-referenced signals, ensuring versatility in handling diverse signal sources. National Instruments recommends using the adapter in a ground-referenced configuration for optimal performance with analog outputs and in differential mode with analog inputs.

This adapter is compatible with the following models of National Instruments DAQ: NI PCI-6033E; PCI/PXI-6025E; PCI/PXI-6031E; PCI/PXI-6071E; AT-MIO-64E-3; and AT-MIO-16DE-10. The SH1006868 cable is needed for proper interfacing with DAQ devices. With industrial robustness, the DIN-BNC has temperature operation from 0 to 70°C, and it complies with international safety and EMC requirements for operation under most demanding conditions.

Users should not exceed 42 V to avoid damage to the adapter, connected devices, or the host system. The DIN-BNC also focuses on signal integrity by supporting shielded cabling, which reduces interference and maintains accuracy in data acquisition. It is compatible with Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) for easy device configuration and signal testing.
