National Instruments REM-11180 Bus Coupler

The National Instruments REM-11180 (Part Number: 784741-01) Bus Coupler allows the integration of modular I/O devices within EtherCAT systems, therefore allowing deterministic communication and data transfer to host systems. It supports up to 63 modules per coupler and an EtherCAT cycle time of 100 microseconds; hence, it is scalable and efficient for distributed control and measurement systems.

Designed for versatility, the REM-11180 is fully compatible with Real-Time controllers, including CompactRIO or Industrial Controllers. With enhanced management for DIN rail-mounted modular I/O systems, the coupler facilitates high performance in basic machine control applications to advanced ones like high-speed data acquisition and image processing. The REM-11180 has dual Ethernet ports that make network configurations easily accessible by daisy-chaining several systems.

The REM-11180 allows for easy system setup with automatic addressing and direct assignment of device IDs with only minimum manual intervention.
