National Instruments NI-9485 C Series Relay Output Module

The NI-9485 (Part numbers: 779600-01 and 779600-02) is a C Series Relay Output Module manufactured by National Instruments, which is featured with SSR sourcing or sinking technology. The NI-9485 module is compatible with the CompactRIO chassis and CompactDAQ chassis. The NI-9845 has 8 SSR Solid State Relay Output Channels. Each channel can get an SSR. The maximum switching voltage range of each channel is about 60 VDC, 30 Vrms. The maximum switching current range is up to 1.2 A / channel. It is applicable to four channels. The maximum switching current range increases up to 750 mA for 8 complete channels. Each channel also features channel-to-channel isolation. The NI-9485 is designed to be used for a variety of industrial applications.

The NI 9485 module has a relay open time about 0.5 ms and a relay close time of about 9.0 ms. This module has maximum resistance in active mode is around 200 mΩ. The off stage leakage is around 30 μA. The NI-9485 can easily be cleaned with a dry towel. The NI-9485 is applicable in industrial DC devices, actuators, and motors.

The NI-9485 also has screw terminal connectors with copper conductor wiring. The wiring gauge is about 30 AWG to 14 AWG. The strip length of the wire is 0.24 inches. It provides insulation stripped from the end. The torque range of the screw terminals is 0.22 N · m to 0.25 N · m. The screw flanges provide safety to the connectors.
