National Instruments cFP-AIO-610 Multifunction I/O Module for Compact FieldPoint
Featured with 1.4 kHz hardware update rate and 12-bit resolution, the National Instruments cFP-AIO-610 (Part Number: 777318-610) is a Multifunction I/O Module. This module comes with four analog current or voltage input channels with 11 input ranges, and four voltage output channels with 0 to 10 V or ±10 V ranges. The NI cFP-AIO-610 has an over-ranging feature with 20% overranging for input ranges and 2% overranging for voltage output ranges. Its voltage inputs have an effective resolution of 11.3 bits, and an impedance of 1.5 MΩ.
The voltage outputs of this module can source or sink up 10 mA through each channel. This model offers ±10 V protection for current inputs and short-circuit protection of ±30 V is incorporated for voltage outputs. The current inputs have an effective resolution 11.3 bits, an input impedance of 105 Ω, an overcurrent protection of ±100 mA, and a signal input bandwidth (-3 dB) at 350 Hz. As verified by 5 s, 2300 Vrms dielectric withstand test, the cFP-AIO-610 provides continuous, 250 Vrms isolation between each channel and their respective grounds. This model is hot swappable and can be added to the user’s existing system without causing any interruptions. Each channel of this Multifunction I/O Module has a special monitoring circuit. This circuit acts like a watchdog and keeps the output current limited to 10 mA. It has a sourcing or sinking maximum current of 1.5 W, and has a power requirement of 600 mW at no or high-impedance load.
If the unit fails in maintaining the specified voltage level on a single channel or multiple channels, then the monitoring circuit indicates by turning on the respective, red color Current Limit LEDs for each under-voltage channel. This error condition is also reported to the network module. This module is built in Compact FieldPoint, Ethernet form factor and is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows and Real-Time operating systems.
The NI device weighs 4.06 oz. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of –55 to 85 °C, a random operating vibration of 5 grms (10–500 Hz), and a random non-operating vibration of 5 g (10–500 Hz).
The cFP-AIO-610 is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the cFP-AIO-610 calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the cFP-AIO-610 with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped. Call or email us today for more information about calibrating the cFP-AIO-610!
