National Instruments cRIO-9039 CompactRIO Controller

The cRIO-9039 is a quad-core CompactRIO Controller designed by National Instruments. This Controller is available in two versions. The only difference in these two versions is that part number 784775-01 offers synchronization, whereas part number 783851-01 does not support synchronization. Collectively, both these versions are named the cRIO-9039. This model is an 8-slot Controller featuring an FPGA chipset and dynamic RAM. The cRIO 9039 incorporates several LEDs for the status of different ports and functions. Four buttons are also available for POWER, RESET, USER1, and CMOS reset functions.

The cRIO-9039 CompactRIO Controller features an Intel Atom E3845 processor. The CPU frequency of this processor is 1.91 GHz and it has 2 MB cache memory. Two Ethernet ports are available in the cRIO NI 9039 for the network interface. These ports can interface with the network over an Ethernet cable up to 100 m. The Controller supports serial communication. Two ports, RS-232 and RS-485/422, are incorporated in the NI cRIO-9039. The data bits of these ports are 5, 6, 7, and 8. The RS-485 port supports 1.2 km of cable length without any limitation of the surge. This device also has one USB device port and two USB host ports. The USB host ports can sustain up to 1 A current. A mini display port is also available. The National Instruments NI cRIO-9039 has 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB RAM memory. The Controller supports SD cards up to 32 GB memory.

The cRIO-9039 has a chassis grounding screw, which is used to connect the Controller to earth ground for EMC compliance. The FPGA is a Kintex-7 7K325T. The cRIO-9039 is also equipped with an internal real-time clock. This clock adjusts the system time during the power-off state.
