AT-MIO-64E-3, 64 Single Ended / 32 Differential Analog Inputs, Multifunction I/O Device
National Instruments AT-MIO-64E-3 Multifunction DAQ
The AT-MIO-64E-3 (Part Number: 776911-01) is a Multifunction Data Acquisition Device designed by National Instruments. The AT-MIO-64E-3 is a member of the 6061E family of DAQ cards. The AT-MIO-64E-3 offers high performance DAQ capabilities for NI E Series devices with SCXI or SCC signal conditioning. Multiple types of application software like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, and VI Logger are available for AT-MIO-64E-3 installation. Traditional NI-DAQ driver software can be utilized with the AT-MIO-64E-3 DAQ. This Multifunction DAQ is operated on Windows 2000/NT/Me/9x operating systems.
The NI AT-MIO-64E-3 has a sampling rate up to 333 kS/s. The AT-MIO-64E-3 is prepared with 64 single-ended or 32 differential analog inputs. This Multifunction DAQ comes with valuable features like analog and digital triggering capabilities. The AT-MIO-64E-3 comes with two 12-bits analog outputs, ±0.05 to ±10 V input voltage range, and ±10V output range. Both channel streams (analog inputs and analog outputs) use 12-bits resolution. The NI device has an input impedance of 100 GΩ when powered on, and 820 Ω min when powered off. It has a power requirement of +5 VDC at 1 A, and the power available at the I/O connector is +4.65 VDC to +5.25 VDC at 1 A.
The AT-MIO-64E-3 provides 500 kS/s input sampling rate for one channel and 333 kS/s for multiple channels. The output rate for this device is 1 MS/s. This Multifunction DAQ is equipped with 8 input/output TTL digital lines and two 24-bit counter/timers. It has a 100-pin female 0.050 D-type I/O connector. The industry-standard architecture (ISA) bus type is used for connections to the AT-MIO-64E-3. The NI AT-MIO-64E-3 should be NIST-calibrated a minimum of once a year to maintain the specifications described in the user manual, and has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes..
The NI device measures 13.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0° to 55°C, a storage temperature range of -55° to 150° C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 90%.
AT-MIO-64E-3 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the multifunction DAQ will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.

National Instruments AT-MIO-64E-3 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Which accessories can be used with the NI AT-MIO-64E-3?
Answer: The Type SH100100 (Part Number: 182853-01) Shielded Cable Assembly, 1 m. 100-pin to 100-pin shielded cable and the SCB-100 (Part Number: 776990-01) Noise Rejecting, Shielded I/O Connector Block are two accessories that can be used with the NI AT-MIO-64E-3.
Question: I’m trying to read something higher than channel 7 on my AT-MIO-64E-3 Multifunction DAQ, but I am getting error -10007. How do I resolve this problem?
Answer: E Series Multifunction DAQ boards such as the AT-MIO-64E-3 group channels in sets of 8 when they are utilized in differential mode. Therefore, valid channel groups are 0-7, 16-23, etc. The other channels reference the negative differential input, so they are not valid measurement channels. Try removing the AT-MIO-64E-3 from your PC and re-inserting it. The configuration settings in NI-MAX may also need to be changed.
Question: Is there a way I can adjust the timebase on the NI AT-MIO-64E-3? I’m getting a reading of 4.999344MHz and the lower tolerance is 4.9995.
Answer: No, there is not a way to programmatically adjust the timebase on the NI AT-MIO-64E-3. The best option is to send the Multifunction DAQ in for repair.
