National Instruments DAQPad-MIO-16XE-50 Multifunction DAQ

The NI DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 is a portable DAQ System can be used with IBM PC/XT/AT or compatible computers. Other items required to use this device include a parallel port cable, LabVIEW for Windows, VI Logger, NI-DAQ for PC compatibles, or Measurement Studio, a 120 or 230 VAC wall-munt power supply adapter, the BP-1 battery power supply, or any 9 to 42 VDC power supply. This high-performance Data Acquisition and Control Multifunction DAQ device is designed by National Instruments. The DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/NT, Mac OS X, LabVIEW RT, and Linux. The NI DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 can be NIST-calibrated, which ensures the accuracy of the device.

This Multifunction DAQ has 16 analog input channels that can be configured as eight differential or sixteen single-ended inputs. The sampling rate is up to 20 kS/s.  The DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 also offers 2 analog output channels. The output resolution is 12-bits. The NI DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 is compatible with TTL as well as CMOS. The configuration memory size is 512 words. This device also has external clocking and digital triggering features. The minimum supported pulse width is 10 ns. The DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 additionally offers the capability to be configured through software and can be self-calibrated. For time-related functions, this Multifunction DAQ uses NI-DAQ software, which consists of three time-related groups which can control general purpose-timers, counters, AO, and AI functions.

For data transfer purposes, the NI DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 uses two 32-pin female MDR 1284-C rear connectors. The included driver software is NI-DAQmx. The National Instruments DAQPAD-MIO-16XE-50 requires NI-DAQ 7 driver software to be used with a PC. The NI-DAQ software has a broad range of library functions. These functions can be called and used by using the programming environment applications. All these features simplify the configuration and measurements.
