National Instruments 781702-01 Digital I/O Adapter Module for FlexRIO

Part Number 781702-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments NI-6587 Digital I/O Adapter Module for FlexRIO. The 781702-01 features 23 digital I/O channels on DDC (16 LVDS data, 4 LVDS PFI, and 3 single-ended PFI. Likewise, it features 2 SMA connectors for PFI 0 and CLOCK IN channels and a single InfiniBand connector for digital data and control channels. The module allows direction control for every digital I/O channel. Likewise, it features two clock input terminals: CLOCK IN (SMA) and STROBE (DDC). On the other hand, there is only one clock output terminal: DDC CLK OUT. 

The single-ended channel (PFI, CLOCK IN) in the 781702-01 has a maximum data rate of 100 Mb/s and the minimum time required to tristate is 6 ns. The generation voltage level is 3.3 V and the output impedance is 50 Ω. The module has similar acquisition voltage levels and input impedance. The 781702-01 comes with the SN65LVDT100 LVDS buffer that has a maximum data rate of 1 Gb/s per channel. The minimum required direction change is 500 µs. During the power-up, the data direction is set to input. 
The input and output protection allows the channels to indefinitely sustain a short to any voltage between 0 V and 4.3 V

The 781702-01 measures (5.1 × 0.8 × 4.9 in.) in physical dimensions and weighs 302 g. There are 2 SMA and one 73-pin InfiniBand connector in the front panel. The module draws 210 mA of current at +12 V resulting in a power of 2.51 W whereas it draws 770 mA of current at +3.3 V, resulting in 2.53 W. The 781702-01 is recommended for operation between temperatures of  0 °C to 55 °C at a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. Likewise, it is designed for indoor use only and should be operated within a maximum altitude of 2000 m. On the other hand, it can be stored between  -20 °C to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%.
