Part Number 779460-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCI-5640R Software-Defined Radio/ Reconfigurable IF Transceiver. The 779460-01 features 2 analog input channels with an ADC having a resolution of 14 bits. The maximum sampling rate is 100 MSamples/second while the maximum bandwidth is 20 MHz. The device also has 2 analog output channels having the same resolution as the analog inputs. However, the maximum update rate at the output channels is 200 MS/s. Both the analog inputs and the outputs are AC-coupled. 

The 779460-01 also comes with a digital downconverter that has up to 6 channels per ADC and the bandwidth can reach up to 20 MHz using all the six processing channels. On the other hand, there is a digital upconverter with a single channel per DAC. The modulation bandwidth using the NI-5640R driver can reach up to 20 MHz while it can reach up to 40 MHz using the LabVIEW FPGA.

It uses a Xilinx Virtex-II Pro P30 (XC2VP30) having 30816 logic cells, 136 multipliers (18 x 18), and a block RAM of size 2448 Kbits.  The module draws 1.8 A to 3.5 A of current at +3.3 VDC, 2.3 A at +5 VDC, and 200 mA at +12 VDC, equaling a total power of 20 to 25.5 W. 

The 779460-01 is recommended for operation between temperatures of 0 °C to 40 °C with a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. On the other hand, it can be stored between a wider temperature range of –40 °C to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. The device is intended for indoor use only and within a maximum altitude of 2000 m.
