The PCIe-7842R (Part Number: 781101-01) is an advanced Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device created by National Instruments. This device can control I/O signals. The PCIe-7842R features onboard signal processing and flexible synchronization and timing for the user’s measurement system. Another feature of this device is the independent triggering and timing for each channel. For this purpose, a dedicated A/D converter is provided on all channels. This feature provides extra functions to the NI PCIe-7842R, such as sampling at different rates and independent channel triggering. These features are not available in a simple DAQ device.

This device can be used with the NI-RIO driver software version 3.1 or later and is compatible with software packages or application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time module, LabVIEW FPGA Module version 8.5.1 or later.
