National Instruments REM-11115 Analog Output Module for Remote I/O

The National Instruments REM-11115 (Part Number: 784749-01) is a 2-Wire, 4-Channel Analog Output Module. This module is widely used in the deployment of remote I/O systems. These systems consist of individual modules and an EtherCAT bus coupler and are controlled from a real-time controller. The NI REM-11115 can be used for current and voltage output and has 2-wire spring terminals. 

The National Instruments REM-11115 Analog Output Module comes with four selectable voltage output ranges and two selectable current output ranges. The inclusion of spring-terminal connectors enables quick wiring without tools. The four analog outputs are backed by 16-bit digital-to-analog converters. This module comes with integrated overload and short-circuit protection. Moreover, the NI REM-11115 has a suppressor diode for transient protection. 

The REM-11115 Analog Output Module can generate current output signals within a range of 4 mA to 20 mA or 0 mA to 20 mA. The current output signals generated by this module can be used to control various industrial actuators and devices. This module connects to the backend control system through a bus connector that supports up to 100 MBits/s transmission speed.

The NI REM-11115 draws the required 5 VDC communications power from the bus connector and consumes around 120 mA. The NI REM-11115 Analog Output Module consumes around 2.04 watts of power while operating in typical conditions. This module requires a 24 VDC power supply and has a permissible voltage range of 19.2 to 30 VDC. Remote I/O hardware is widely used for the addition of low-cost I/O. The controller can handle advanced tasks such as motion control and image processing.
