SCXI-1530, 4-Channel, Sound and Vibration Input Module
National Instruments SCXI-1530 Sound and Vibration Input Module
The SCXI-1530 (Part Number: 777966-30) is a signal conditioning module designed for integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) accelerometers and microphones. This module can work with accelerometer conditioning modules that incorporate programmable current, gain, and filter configurations on every channel. The NI SCXI-1530 includes 4 input channels, 1 MΩ of amplifier input impedance while powered on and off, AC amplifier coupling, 4 mA +/-10% of accelerometer input excitation current, more than 400 KΩ of current source dynamite impedance, +/- 10 V of maximum output voltage, and 200 Ω of output impedance.
On the SCXI-1530 Sound and Vibration Input Module, the accelerometer is stimulated by the current source. The user can debilitate the current source to quantify noise in the framework. There is also a ground switch that the user can turn on or off with software to suit both ground-referenced and non-referenced accelerometers. The boosts signal is AC-coupled to a programmable-gain instrumentation intensifier. This intensifier helps the incoming signal by a gain of 1, 10, or 100. Next, the signal goes through a programmable-data transfer capacity low-pass Bessel filter for aliasing reduction. The synchronous sample-and-hold circuitry assurers that all channels are referenced to a similar moment in time. Lastly, the conditioned signal is sent to the multiplexer circuitry and back connectors to improve the signal association.
SCXI-1530 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
