National Instruments 780317-01 PXI Oscilloscope

The 780317-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXI-5153 Oscilloscope. Equipped with 8 MB of onboard memory per channel, this oscilloscope has plenty of space for signal capture and analysis applications. Boasting a maximum bandwidth of 1.5 GHz, the 780317-01 is equipped with two analog input channels that are designed to facilitate high-frequency measurement tasks. 

Accuracy is at the heart of the 780317-01, which provides options for calibration to meet the needs of the specific test setup. The oscilloscope features self-calibration capabilities, which is a convenient choice for scenarios that need to correct issues with the triggering, gain, frequency responsiveness, timing adjustment, offset, and frequency response of the device. This self-calibration option is software controlled and incredibly user-friendly. The 780317-01 is also capable of external calibration, which addresses issues with the voltage reference or the VCXO onboard clock of the device. NI recommends that the oscilloscope is externally calibrated every two years.

The sample clock of the 780317-01 has a time-base frequency of 1 GHz, and it features two potential sources. It can be externally sourced via a PFI 0 front panel SMB connector, or it can be internally sourced through an internal VCXO onboard clock.

Built for a variety of environmental conditions, the oscilloscope has an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 71 °C.  The oscilloscope measures 21.6 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm (8.5 in × 0.8 in × 5.1 in) in dimensions and weighs 481 g (16.97 oz).
