National Instruments 782621-13 PXI Oscilloscope

The 782621-13 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the variation of the PXIe-5160 Oscilloscope that has 3 GB of onboard memory and is equipped with 4 simultaneously sampled channels. Designed for functionality as both an oscilloscope and a digitizer, the 782621-13 integrates the best of both worlds into a singular device. In addition, the oscilloscope utilizes CableSense, a technology from NI that helps mitigate risk of failure in a physical test setup by using concepts similar to TDRs to detect any changes and verify the setup. This CableSense technology features a nominal pulse rise time of 950 ps and a nominal pulse voltage of 0.5 V. 

Another noteworthy aspect of the 782621-13 is its flexibility. With an input voltage range of 50 mV to 5 V, it can handle a wide range of signal amplitudes. In addition, the device can easily withstand operational vibrations of 0.3 g RMS within a frequency range of 5 Hz to 500 Hz, and operational shock of 30 g. When not in use, the 782621-13 can tolerate 2.4 g RMS random vibrations in the same range of 5 Hz to 500 Hz.

The 782621-13 is small but mighty. The physical specs describe an oscilloscope that may be used in a variety of environmental settings, functioning efficiently when used within temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 45 °C with a 10% to 90% noncondensing relative humidity range. When the 782621-13 is in storage, it can tolerate a significantly wider range of temperatures, from -40 °C and 71 °C with a noncondensing relative humidity range between 5% and 95%. The oscilloscope weighs only 430 g (15 oz.) and measures 21.4 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.1 cm (8.4 in. × 0.8 in. × 5.1 in.).
