National Instruments 783691-01 PXI Oscilloscope

The 783691-01 from National Instruments is the descriptive part number for the variation of the PXIe-5170 PXI Oscilloscope that has 1.5 GB of onboard memory and 14 bits of resolution. This oscilloscope has been renamed by NI, and as a result, it may also be listed under the model name PXIe-5170R. The 783691-01 features 8 channels which have simultaneous sampling capabilities, making it an excellent choice for a wide variety of testing scenarios. Boasting a Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA, the oscilloscope offers enhanced capabilities for applications with data, communication, etc.

The 8 channels of the 783691-01 have a referenced single-ended input type with SMA connectors. The oscilloscope features input coupling options for both AC or DC, all with a bandwidth of 100 MHz. While the sample clock of the 783691-01 is an internal onboard clock, it does have external options such as AUX I/O CLK IN. The frequency of the internal timebase measures at 250 MHz, while the frequency of the external timebase ranges from 150 MHz to 250 MHz. User-friendly and precise, the 783691-01 oscilloscope has a Programmable Function Interface that includes bidirectional capabilities for each channel.  

In order to achieve optimal performance, the 783691-01 is designed to withstand a variety of environmental factors.  It has an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C, and an even wider storage temperature range of -40 °C to 71 °C. The relative humidity should be within the range of 10% to 90%, ensuring a noncondensing environment. Created to withstand shock and vibration, the 783691-01 oscilloscope can tolerate a peak shock of 30 g in addition to a random vibration frequency range of characterized by a half-sine waveform and an 11 ms pulse duration. Additionally, when subjected to random vibrations during operation, it can endure frequencies ranging from 5 Hz to 500 Hz. 

The 783691-01 has the dimensions of 18.5 cm × 2.0 cm × 13.0 cm (7.3 in. × 0.8 in. × 5.1 in.), and weighs 484 g (17.1 oz.).
