National Instruments RM-4339 Terminal Block

The RM-4339 (Part Numbers: 783536-01, 783535-01)  rack-mount terminal block is designed specifically to interact with the PXIe-4339 PXI Strain/Bridge Input Module. It provides an adaptable solution for debugging and testing applications. It facilitates the performance of accurate measurement and analytical activities in industrial automation-related environments.

The RM-4339 provides flexibility in connecting with different instruments and devices because of its many back-end and front-end interfaces. Its back-end connectors consist of two 2-pin COMBICON terminals, one 4-pin COMBICON, and three 96-pin Female DIN terminals. 24 RJ50, three 9-pin D-SUB, three 25-pin D-SUB, and three BNC connectors are available on the front end.

The RM-4339 allows for extensive data capture and monitoring with 8 analog input channels per position (A, B, and C). With a maximum of 10 μV at 23°C ±5°C and a typical 2 μV in the same temperature range, the AI± differential input assures little offset voltage. The highest offset voltage stability rating is 0.5 μV/°C.

The RM-4339 accepts an external power supply with a voltage range of 6V to 28V single-ended and a maximum current rating of 2.4A and 100mA per EX+. There is 0.7 Ω of route resistance between the EXT PWR and the EX+ channel.

The RM-4339 guarantees dependable performance even in demanding conditions by operating throughout a broad temperature range of 0°C to 55°C and relative humidity range of 10% to 90%. It can tolerate random vibration between 5 and 500 Hz as well as operational shock up to 30 g peak.

Among the bridge completion possibilities are quarter-bridge completion, which offers exact measurements with low tolerance and stability, and values of 120 Ω, 350 Ω, and 1 kΩ. To improve calibration capabilities, it also has shunt calibration resistors (SCA) and quarter-bridge shunt calibration resistors (SCB).

The RM-4339 has three ports (A, B, and C) that enable it to be linked to three NI PXIe-4339 modules at once. Every location is powered and controlled independently by the connecting module. Additionally, it allows in-situ calibration, which eliminates the need to disconnect any inputs and enables measurement errors and uncertainties to be confirmed against a traceable reference.
