Keysight/Agilent P5001A Streamline USB Vector Network Analyzer
The Keysight P5001A operates across a frequency range from 9 kHz to 6.5 GHz for comprehensive signal analysis. The analyzer features two built-in test ports and supports a maximum output power of 10 dBm. A single-source hardware design enables complete two-port S-parameter measurements across the full operating frequency range. The model has a warranted damage input level of +27 dBm or ± 35 VDC. A sweep trace point range of 11 to 100,003 is available on the model for high-resolution frequency analysis. A frequency resolution of 1 Hz allows fine-grained measurement span control across all supported test configurations. The resolution bandwidth is adjustable from 10 Hz to 3 MHz in 10% steps, offering selective signal measurement.
The temperature stability across the full operating frequency range is a defining performance characteristic of the USB vector network analyzer. In the 300 kHz to 4.5 GHz range, the typical band magnitude drift is 0.005 dB per degree Celsius. The magnitude drift in the 4.5 to 6 GHz range is typically 0.01 dB per degree Celsius. The phase drift across the same band is typically 0.1 degree per degree Celsius under standard conditions.
The Keysight P5001A USB vector network analyzer supports five trigger modes, including Continuous, Single, Group, Manual, and External, for broad test coverage. The trigger delay is configurable from 0 to 3 seconds with a resolution of 1 microsecond. The sweep time is managed automatically and adapts to the selected frequency span and number of measurement points. Seven trace detector types are available on the model, including Average, Sample, Peak, and Negative Peak.
The amplitude measurement range of the Keysight analyzer extends from DANL up to the instrument's maximum safe input level. The input attenuation is available in high attenuation and low attenuation modes to suit different signal levels. The log scale display covers 0.001 to 500 dB per division in 0.001 dB steps for amplitude analysis. The linear scale defaults to 10 divisions with scale units configurable as dBm or mW.
