Keysight/Agilent P5025A Streamline USB Vector Network Analyzer
The Keysight P5025A is a USB vector network analyzer with a specified measurement frequency coverage of 26.5 GHz. It operates without an embedded internal controller or display hardware. The model establishes measurement control and data acquisition via a direct USB 3.0 link to the host PC. The analyzer supports a system IF bandwidth range from 1 Hz to 15 MHz for precise signal isolation. The measurement sweeps can be configured with a point count from 1 to 100,003 for high-density frequency domain data acquisition. The test port input impedance is nominally 50 Ω, and the DC damage level is rated at 35 V. In Hot TDR mode, the maximum input voltage is 1.5 V below 20 GHz and 0.9 V beyond.
The USB Vector Network Analyzer supports both Step and Impulse TDR stimulus types to enable precise time domain signal characterization and analysis. The pulse modulation on/off ratio in normal mode holds steadily at 80 dB across 100 kHz through 20 GHz. The fast mode on/off ratio is 50 dB at lower frequencies and decreases to 38 dB near 20 GHz. The on/off ratio above 20 GHz is 70 dB in normal mode and 30 dB in fast mode. The sweep speed of the model is characterized over a 9 GHz to 10 GHz frequency span with 1 MHz IF bandwidth. At 201 points in auto sweep mode, the uncorrected sweep time is measured at 12.6 ms per scan. A 2-port calibrated sweep at 401 points in auto mode completes in 36.1 ms per full measurement cycle. A 4-port calibrated sweep at 1601 points takes 207.5 ms in auto and 207.7 ms in stepped mode.
The rear panel of the Keysight P5025A USB Vector Network Analyzer features a Type A female USB 2.0 downstream port for peripheral connections. A Type C female USB 3.0 upstream port serves as the primary link to the controlling host PC. A Kycon KPJX-4S-S four-pin DC power connector handles the instrument's main power supply input on the rear panel. Two SMB male trigger ports support 3.3 V CMOS levels and are TTL compatible and 5 V tolerant.
