Keysight M9183A PXI Digital Multimeter
Keysight’s M9183A is a 6.5 digit PXI Digital Multimeter that is optimized to meet the needs of demanding Automated Test Systems (ATS). With an emphasis on exceptional measurement speed, along with excellent measurement flexibility, this PXI Performance Module offers many different measurement functions including DC & AC Voltage, DC & AC Current, 2-Wire & 4-Wire Resistance, Frequency, Period, Capacitance, and Temperature. Key to its operation is its market leading throughput; the module can acquire up to 15,000 readings/sec, with a minimum read interval of 66 microseconds. This high speed translates to reduced test time and ultimately lower cost of test, within High-Volume Manufacturing Environments.
Besides just performing standard measurements, the M9183A has advanced measurement features, including but not limited to offset-compensated ohms, pulse width, duty cycle and a totalizer/event counter. Also, the M9183A is a Source Measure Unit (SMU) and can provide a built-in DC voltage source up to ±10 volts and a current source between 1.2 uA and 12 mA, thus allowing it to do stimulus/response testing without having to use additional instruments. In addition to standard measurement methods, the M9183A offers advanced triggering options, including immediate, analog threshold, PXI bus and external triggers, offering both precision and flexibility when implementing complex measurement sequences. The DMM also supports multi-sample mode and stores up to 80 readings per trigger, which enables the capture of transient events.
Engineers connect the Keysight M9183A into PXI systems for application in industrial automation, semiconductor testing, automotive electronics, aerospace, and defense. Due to its high level of accuracy (DCV Basic One Year Accuracy up to 40 PPM), the Digital Multimeter provides trustworthy measurement results for production/validation testing. The module is supported by a complete Software Framework, with IVI-compliant Drivers and Examples for Popular Development Environments, such as LabVIEW, C/C++, C#, and MATLAB, facilitating the quick integration of the module into the user's ATS, and rapid development of the user's ATS program.
