ADLINK PXI-3950 PXI System Controller
The PXI-3950 (Part number: 50-17030-1000) by ADLINK is an embedded PXI controller made for hybrid systems. The PXI-3950 utilizes an Intel® CoreTM2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz CPU for optimal performance in a variety of test and measurement applications. It also supports a front side bus of 800 MHz. Ideal for complex testing activities, the PXI-3950 uses a GME965 chipset, and has 4 GB of built-in SODIMM memory modules. The PXI-3950 PXI system controller is able to attach and manage a number of interfaces, including GPIB, USB, and COM connections. Additionally, the PXI-3950 features two Gigabit Ethernet connections which allows users to connect via LAN to one ethernet connection and to manage subsequent-generation LXI instruments with the other.
One of the core features of the PXI-3950 is it's video capabilities. The PXI controller uses a Mobile Intel® GMA X3100 graphic media accelerator, allowing for the CRT output to support a resolution up to 2048x1536. On the faceplate, there is an analog CRT route to DVI-I connector. The DVI output of the PXI-3950 supports a resolution up to 1600x1200, and has a singular TMDS channel via a SDVO to DVI controller.
The PXI-3950 by ADLINK features integrated I/O connectivity, with a 2.5 inch, 120 GB, built-in SATA hard drive. For ethernet connections, the controller has dual gigabit ethernet controllers. The faceplate of the PXI-3950 includes four USB 2.0 ports, two RJ-46 connectors, a 25-pin Micro-D connector, two COM ports (16C550 UART compatible), and two high definition audio jacks.
