Keysight/Agilent M9018B PXIe Chassis
The Keysight M9018B is an 18-slot PXIe Chassis specifically engineered for use in Automated Test & Measurement Systems which have to be able to integrate different types of measurement modules while providing reliable throughput of measured data. Also found under the manufacturer Agilent, it is a 3U unit featuring sixteen (16) PXI Hybrid Slots, one (1) PXI Timing Slot, and one (1) PXI System Slot. Engineers can now combine PXIe, PXI-Hybrid, PXI-1, and PCI modules into a single frame. The configurable Gen 2 backplane allows engineers to select from a two-link (2 x 8) or four-link (4 x 4) system slot configuration. With a maximum of eight (8) Gb/sec of aggregated bandwidth available, the M9018B can support high-speed digitizer, signal generator, and switching matrix measurements.
Also included with the M9018B Chassis is an advanced cooling solution that occupies only 4U's of rack space. A 20% reduction in height when compared to traditional PXI Chassis that require five (5) U's or more. The design leaves room for an external 1U controller attached to the chassis via a PCIe cable. Providing both a small footprint and robust system capabilities without compromising air flow or thermal performance. The M9018B has front panel External Trigger Ports that are directly connected to the PXI Trigger Bus in addition to the aforementioned features. making it simple for users to synchronize with other chassis and/or non-PXI instruments in a large configuration.
Production testing, Aerospace Data Acquisition, and Defense Systems Integration are examples of Industrial Automation Applications where the number of slots and Thermal Stability of a chassis are paramount. The backplane of the M9018B has been segmented into two (2) PCIe Switch Segments and three (3) Trigger Bus Segments. These segments are configurable depending upon the user's specific measurement workflow requirements. The Keysight/Agilent M9018B operates reliably to 55°C and 10,000 feet. The chassis will accept a 100 – 240VAC Input Power source and provide up to 858W DC Power to Peripheral Slots at High-Line Voltage Conditions. Regardless of whether you are developing a Mixed-Signal Test Bench or expanding your Multi-Chassis Rack, this PXIe Chassis will provide all the necessary Connectors and Bandwidth required for your Instrumentation Needs.
