National Instruments 777318-330 Digital Input Module for Compact FieldPoint
Part Number 777318-330 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments cFP-DI-330 Digital Input Module for Compact FieldPoint. The input module mounts on a FieldPoint terminal base which provides the operating power. Note that since the module is hot-swappable, it does not disrupt the operation of the bank when it is installed on the terminal base. The 777318-330 features 8 input channels that are compatible with TTL, CMOS, 24 VDC, 48 VDC, and 120/240 VAC signals. The maximum input voltage is 250 VAC or 250 VDC. As for the digital logic levels, a maximum of ±1 V DC or peak AC is considered an OFF state.
Likewise, a minimum of ±4 VDC to a maximum of ±250 VDC, or a minimum of 15 VAC to a maximum of 250 VAC at 50/60 Hz, or a minimum of 3 VAC to a maximum of 250 VAC at 1 KHz is considered the ON state. The input current limiting is 1.5 mA while the input delay time is 1.2 ms. The 777318-330 draws 200 mW of power from the network module. It features a channel-to-ground isolation of 250 Vrms, falling under Installation Category II. There is no channel-to-channel isolation. The module weighs 3.4 oz and also features green POWER and READY indicators, and 8 green input state indicators.
The 777318-330 is recommended for use between temperatures of -40 to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. On the other hand, it can be stored at a wider temperature range of –55 to 85 °C. Note that the module is meant for indoor use only and may require mounting inside a sealed enclosure for outdoor use. Furthermore, the module is designed for operation up to a maximum altitude of 2000 m and requires lowering the isolation voltages at higher altitudes. Moreover, it is designed to meet the requirements of the following safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3121-1, UL 61010C-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1.
