National Instruments 779082-01 Digital I/O Device

Part Number 779082-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCI-6516 Digital I/O Device.  The 779082-01 features 32 bank-isolated digital output channels that can be configured only in the source mode. It does not have any input channels. Note that all channels belong to one isolated bank and use the same ground and/or power. The common mode isolation is 30 VDC (bank-to-bank and bank-to-bus) while data transfers in the module take place through either interrupts or programmed I/O. 

The current output for the 779082-01 is dependent on the temperature and the number of lines being used in a port: when all eight lines are used in a port, the module outputs 75 mA at 0 °C to  25 °C, 65 mA at 25 °C to 35 °C, 55 mA at 35 °C to  45 °C, and 50 mA at 45 °C to 55 °C. Similarly, when this mode is not used, the current on the only used line in a port takes the following values: 350 mA at 0 °C to 45 °C and 300 mA at 45 °C to 55 °C. The power-on state is user-programmable to 0 or 1 and it sits on 0 (open) as default. The propagation delay is 80 µs while the programmable power-up states response time is 400 ms. 

The power consumed by the 779082-01 is 250 mA (typical) at +5 VDC (±5%) and 300 mA (typical) at +3.3 VDC (±5%). The module measures 5.54 in. × 4.47 in. in physical dimensions and weighs 2.5 oz. A 37-pin male D-SUB connector is used for I/O purposes.The recommended temperature range for the operation of the 779082-01  is  0 °C to 55 °C  at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. Likewise, the device is only meant to be used indoors within a maximum altitude of 2000m. On the other hand, it can be stored at –20 °C to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. The device meets the following safety standards for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1.
