National Instruments FP-AO-C020 Analog Current Output Module

The FP-AO-C020 is an Analog Current Output Module designed for terminal blocks. The FP-AO-C020 is created by National Instruments. The NI FP-AO-C020 is available for order under the part number 778070-02. The NI FP-AO-C020 is a member of the FP-AO family by National Instruments. The FP-AO-C020 is developed with dual single-ended output channels. This Analog Output Module is fabricated for current limitations within the range of 0 – 20 mA.

This Analog Output Module comes with 12-bit output resolution. The NI FP-AO-C020 has an internal power supply that can drive loads up to 500 Ω. The FP-AO-C020 module should be wired so current flows out of the “a” terminals and comes back via the “b” terminals. The “a” terminals are a shared reference point for the two channels on this Analog Current Output Module. The FP-AO-C020 provides aid for channel to channel isolated applications with a single channel by each module. If your application necessitates channel-to-channel isolation, make sure to utilize only a single channel of every module.

The NI FP-AO-C020 is configured to be used with FP terminal serial blocks. The FP terminal blocks offer each type of I/O FieldPoint device for connections. These FP terminal blocks are developed with the universal core terminals for use with FieldPoint devices. The FP terminal blocks accept field wiring with a diameter of 24 – 12 AWG. The power required for the FP-AO-C020 module is 1100 mW at the maximum output. The scanning time for this Analog Current Output Module is 1.5 ms.
