National Instruments PXI-1428 Image Acquisition Module
Featured with 16 MB Onboard Memory and 20 to 50 MHz Pixel Clock Frequency Range, the PXI-1428 (Part Number: 778775-01) is an Image Acquisition Module from National Instruments. This module is designed for base-configuration and medium-configuration camera link cameras to be used in scientific imaging and machine vision applications that require high-bandwidth, high-resolution, and line-scan digital imaging.
The NI PXI-1428 features a 26-pin connector, compatible with all camera control outputs, Camera Link video inputs, and the serial interface. The 68-pin connector on this device connects to the external trigger signals through the IMAQ-D6804 cable. Thus, the user can get this Frame Grabber up and running with simple, small cabling. The PXI-1428 offers 4 x 256 by 8-bit LUTs and supports image scaling and pixel decimation. This Frame Grabber is offered with the standard NI-IMAQ™ driver software. The NI-IMAQ is a windows-based software for image acquisitions, which can scale between various types of acquisition methods and cameras. Using this software and the NI PXI-1428, it is possible to start with a low-cost RS-170 camera and then upgrade to a high-resolution, faster digital camera with almost no software changes.

With this device, the user can choose an onboard programmable region of interest as well.
