National Instruments PS-14 Industrial Power Supply
The NI PS-14 (Part Number: 783167-01) is a 24 VDC Power Supply. This model offers up to 150% short-term power capability. The integrated, powerful output capacitors can charge capacitors, start motors, and absorb reverse energy. The PS-14 is designed to operate over a broad range of input voltage from 100 V to 240 V. Thus, the usage and installation do not involve any complications. This Power Supply is known for its high efficiency since it can operate at around 90% efficiency.
The NI PS-14 has four output terminals; two are positive and two are negative output terminals. Both negative terminals are internally wired together; the positive terminals are as well. These output terminals offer 3.3 amperes of current at 24 VDC. The output voltage level of this Power Supply can be adjusted employing the output voltage potentiometer. The default setting of this output voltage potentiometer is 24.1 V. With this model, the user can change the output voltage above 28 by using the potentiometer. However, National Instruments does not recommend exceeding 28 V.
This model comes with three terminals on the front panel which are the input terminals. These terminals represent the Line (hot) Input, the Protective Ground Input, and the Neutral Input. The NI PS-14 Power Supply can rectify both two-phase and single-phase AC input. The natural input terminal is used to provide a return path for the AC input circuitry. For this Power Supply, the user can purchase either a side mounting or panel mounting kit according to their setup and requirements.
The PS-14 weighs 430 g, and measures 32 x 124 x 102 mm in physical dimensions. The NI device has a recommended operating temperature, and an operating relative humidity range of 0 °C to 49 °C and 0 to 90% respectively.
