National Instruments PCI-7813R Digital Reconfigurable I/O Device
The PCI-7813R (Part number: 779370-01) is a Digital Reconfigurable I/O Device from the R Series by National Instruments. This device uses the Real-Time System Integration (RTSI) bus. R Series PCI gadgets get to the RTSI transport through a RTSI link associated between gadgets. On the other hand, R Series PXI gadgets get to the RTSI bus through the PXI trigger lines executed on the PXI backplane. The CompactPCI determination grants merchants the power to create sub-buses that exist together with the fundamental PCI interface on the CompactPCI bus. Perfect activity is not ensured between CompactPCI gadgets with various sub-buses nor between CompactPCI gadgets with sub-buses and PXI. The standard usage for CompactPCI does exclude these sub-buses. The R Series gadget works in any standard CompactPCI undercarriage holding fast to the PICMG CompactPCI 2.0 R3.0 center detail.
This model comes with an NSC68-262650 link that interfaces the signals on the NI PCI-7813R RMIO connector straightforwardly to 5B and SSR backplanes. This link has a 68-stick male VHDCI connector toward one side that fits into the NI PCI-7813R RMIO connector. The opposite end of this link gives two 26-stick female connectors, in addition to one 50-stick female connector. One of the 26-stick connectors contains all the NI PCI-7813R simple info signals. The user can link this connector straightforwardly to a 5B backplane for simple input signal molding. The device is further equipped with 4 68-pin female high-density VHDCI I/O connectors. The NI PCI-7813R AI<0..n> relate to the 5B backplane and directs <0..n> in a successive request. The user can arrange the AI channels to utilize the NRSE input mode when utilizing 5B signal molding. The PCI-7813R has 160 digital I/O lines, with an embedded block RAM of 1.728 kbits.
The NI device weighs 0.25 lb, and measure 6.7 x 4.3 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C, and an operating and non-operating random vibration of 0.3 grms and 2.4 grms respectively–all at a frequency range of 5 to 500 Hz.
PCI-7813R Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
