National Instruments 785816-01 USB Multifunction I/O Device

The National Instruments 785816-01 or USB-6349 is a multifunction simultaneous sampling DAQ device designed to handle a wide range of data acquisition and control tasks. It is equipped with 32 differential analog input channels. It provides 16-bit resolution and supports a maximum simultaneous sampling rate of 500 kS/s across all channels. The device includes features such as high precision with no missing codes. Its input coupling is DC with selectable input ranges of ± 1 V, ± 2 V, ± 5 V and ± 10 V. The device supports high input impedance with protection against overvoltage.

The 785816-01 module offers 2 analog output channels with 16-bit resolution supporting a maximum update rate of 900 kS/s for a single channel and 840 kS/s for both channels operating simultaneously. The output range is ± 10 V and it features low output impedance (0.2 Ω) for reliable signal generation. The device’s onboard FIFO can store up to 8,191 samples. This makes the device suitable for generating dynamic output signals in real time.

The digital I/O functionality of the 785816-01 includes 24 channels allowing each terminal to be individually configured as either input or output. The device provides protection against input voltages of up to ± 20 V on up to two pins. This ensures safety and protection under high voltage conditions. The device can efficiently handle noisy signals and ensure accurate digital signal processing with features like digital line filters and programmable debounce filter settings.
