Pickering 652A-001 PXI Solid-State Multiplexer
The Pickering 40-652A-001 PXI Multiplexer uses solid-state relays with high tolerance to surge currents and hot-switching events. The multiplexer provides an isolation relay in the common to minimize capacitive loading when expanding the multiplexer across multiple modules. It offers 100V 5A hot switch capacity and fast operating time. Pickering’s Switch Path Manager is a signal routing software that accelerates test system software development by automatically selecting switch paths once endpoints that need to be connected are defined.
The Pickering PXI multiplexer is available in single-pole 48:1, two-pole 24:1, single-pole dual 24:1, or single-pole 24:1 configurations. The module can sustain 30A for 300µs on hot or cold switching. User connections are via a male 50-pin D-type connector, which is supported by a full range of connector and cable accessories. Note that on this module pin 1 is at the bottom of the connector when making accessory choices on cable exit directions.
This Pickering 40-652A-001 PXI Multiplexer must be used in a compatible chassis, such as the following:
• All chassis conforming to the 3U PXI and 3U Compact PCI (cPCI) specification
• Legacy and Hybrid Peripheral slots in a 3U PXI Express (PXIe) chassis
• Pickering Interfaces LXI or LXI/USB Modular Chassis
Pickering provides kernel, IVI, and VISA (NI & Keysight) drivers which are compatible with all Microsoft-supported versions of
Windows and popular older versions. The VISA driver is also compatible with real-time operating systems such as LabVIEW RT. Drivers for popular common Linux distributions are also available. This multiplexer is supported by Pickering's eBIRST switching system test tools, which allow users to identify faulty relays without removing the module.
