The 400302A DS3 Monitor Interface is a dedicated module for the AX/4000 Broadband Test System, for high performance broadband environments. It provides DS3 level monitoring and testing capabilities. Designed for monitoring functionality it allows secure physical DS3 connections to the AX/4000’s Generator, Generator/Analyzer and ATM Network Impairment Emulator test modules. This module is needed for in-depth analysis and testing of broadband network components to ensure DS3 performance and quality compliance.

The 400302A DS3 Monitor Interface is part of the AX/4000 modular platform, known for its flexibility and scalability, where users can test ATM, IP, Frame Relay and Ethernet technologies at the same time. Its core function is to monitor DS3 connections in-depth, providing real-time data on network performance, protocol compliance and fault injection to help identify and fix network equipment and configuration vulnerabilities. The module operates at 44.736 Mbps to meet DS3 testing standards and allows for quality of service and performance metrics assessment.

The 400302A DS3 Monitor Interface is plug-in design that fits into AX/4000 modules. The attached faceplate with dual SC connectors allows for transmit and receive connections for both continuous and on-demand monitoring.
