The SmartBits POS-3500B is a smart ATM OC-12 Multimode Module. The SmartBits POS-3500B ATM OC-12 Multimode Module is designed and manufactured by Spirent Communications. The Spirent SmartBits POS-3500B module is installed in the Spirent SmartBits SMB-600 and SMB-6000B Chassis. The SmartBits POS-3500B module holds a significant position in industrial applications that require full-scale testing of POS systems by simulating and running a large number, in the range of millions of client-server sessions. The multimode operation, dynamic framing features, and accuracy are a few among the major features of the SmartBits POS-3500B module.

The SmartBits POS-3500B module contains only 1 port physical interface for the connection of the module with network devices under tests (DUTs). The SmartBits POS-3500B module is an OC-12 module featuring the framing genre of SDH STM-1 and STM-4. Moreover, the SmartBits POS-3500B module can also support SONET framing capable of handling a line rate of 155 Mbps in OC-3c and 622 Mbps line speed in OC-12C.
