Keysight DSOX2024A Oscilloscope
Keysight's DSOX2024A is a 4-channel, 200 MHz bandwidth InfiniiVision 2000 X-Series digital storage oscilloscope suitable for making precise analysis of signals in industrial automation, embedded systems, and mixed-signal designs. The tool integrates a highest sample rate of 2 GSa/s with a memory depth of 1 Mpts per channel in support for the capture of fast transient events as well as detailed waveforms. It features a more enhanced viewing display with an 8.5-inch WVGA display and 64 grade levels for superimposed viewing of different waveforms.
With Keysight's MegaZoom IV ASIC technology, the oscilloscope boasts a 200,000 wfms/sec update rate, making it easier to locate the intermittent anomalies at speed. It supports advanced triggering modes, including edge, pulse width, video, and special protocol triggers (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN) as an added software package. It includes oscilloscope segmented memory acquisition with the capacity for as many as 250 segments with a re-arm time of 5 µs, a particularly useful feature when measuring low-duty-cycle signals, e.g., burst data strings or pulsed systems.
The DSOX2024A has four analog channels and the option of upgrading to an 8-channel mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO) using the DSOX2MSO hardware upgrade package, thus adding digital timing analysis capabilities. It has a built-in 3-digit digital voltmeter and 5-digit frequency counter for simultaneous voltage and frequency measurements. Other optional upgrades include a 20 MHz WaveGen function generator for generating stimulus and protocol decoding packages for automotive or embedded communication buses.
The oscilloscope has N2842A 300 MHz passive probes as standard probes, and the N2755A logic probe has MSO upgrades included. The oscilloscope supports LAN, USB, and optional GPIB interfaces for remote control and data transfer. Industrial use includes power integrity testing, motor control analysis, serial protocol testing, and debugging of mixed-signal designs. Hardware-based mask testing and limit testing capabilities of the instrument support automated pass/fail testing in manufacturing environments.
With built-in scalability, the DSOX2024A allows post-purchase upgrades of bandwidth (up to 200 MHz), digital channels, or analysis software so it can grow with changing project requirements. The probe-sharing small form factor oscilloscope, logic analyzer, function generator, and protocol decode provide maximum bench space, suitable for education labs and space-limited installations. Compatibility with Keysight's BenchVue software provides automated test sequences and data export to external applications like MATLAB or Excel.
