Tektronix 2215A Oscilloscope
The Tektronix 2215A is a rugged, compact dual-channel oscilloscope designed to provide excellent resolution of all types of electronic signals and to analyze those signals using highly detailed visual displays. The instrument includes a user’s guide, two probe kits and a standard AC power cord; therefore, it can be used as soon as it is unpacked from its shipping carton. The primary function of this oscilloscope is its ability to provide high-clarity viewing on an 80mm x 100mm cathode ray tube (CRT), which is important for determining subtle details about difficult-to-analyze waveforms in harsh working environments.
The 2215A is used in a number of different applications such as circuit design, troubleshooting and repair of equipment within industrial controls, telecommunications and research labs. The vertical deflection system has sensitivity from 2 mV to 5 volts/division and a bandwidth of 60 MHz so you can accurately measure both low-frequency and high-frequency signals. The trigger system allows for synchronization across the entire bandwidth of the instrument, while the horizontal sweep allows for sweep times from .5 sec/Div down to 5 nsec/Div with a magnifier so you can view both the broad picture of your signals and the details of your transient and timing information.
As well as being able to measure and analyze a variety of different signals, the 2215A was also built to be very durable and withstand many different types of harsh environments. The Oscilloscope complies with MIL-T-28800C specs for environment and is therefore suitable for use in the field or in the factory for use in industrial automation. The 2215A's ability to provide accurate measurements, its delayed sweep capability for precise timing interval analysis and its rugged construction make the Tektronix 2215A a very useful and reliable tool for professional engineers and technicians when performing electronic engineering and diagnostic functions.
