The TDK Lambda GEN30-170 is a programmable DC power supply built for precision-driven industrial automation. The model provides fast dynamic response for applications with rapidly changing load conditions. The up-programming response time from zero volts to the full rated output voltage is 30 milliseconds. The full load-down programming response completes in 50 milliseconds, while no load-down programming response extends to 800 milliseconds. The transient output voltage recovery after a 10 to 100 percent load step is completed in under 1 millisecond.
The GEN30-170 power supply delivers a rated output of 30 V and 170 A with a maximum total power of 5100 W. The unit operates in constant voltage mode and constant current mode to suit diverse load requirements. These dual operating modes allow the power supply to serve a broad range of test and process control environments.
The electrical output stability in constant voltage mode is a defining characteristic of the GEN30-170 supply module. The line regulation is held to 3 mV, and load regulation is maintained at 9.5 mV under rated operating conditions. The peak-to-peak ripple noise at 20 MHz is 70 mV, and the RMS ripple from 5 Hz to 1 MHz is 10 mV. The remote sense wire compensation supports up to 5 V to preserve output accuracy at the load terminals.

The temperature coefficient is 50 PPM per degree Celsius measured after 30 minutes of warm-up time. The voltage stability over an 8-hour interval following the 30-minute warm-up is maintained at 0.01% of rated output. The warm-up drift is limited to below 0.05% of rated output voltage, ensuring reliable early-cycle measurement accuracy.
The GEN30-170 operates across a temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius at full rated load. The shock resistance is specified at less than 20 G half sine at 11 milliseconds with the unit unpacked. The operating altitude for the model reaches 10000 feet, with output current derated by 2% per 100 meters above 2000 meters.
