TDK Lambda HFE1600-S1U-TB Power Supply Shelf Rack
The TDK Lambda HFE1600-S1U-TB is a 1U 19 inch shelf rack for industrial front end power distribution. It supports up to five HFE1600 series AC-DC power supply modules in a single output parallel configuration. The model features five rear mounted terminal block AC input connectors for direct hardwired mains installation. Four blank panels are included to maintain proper airflow through any unoccupied module slots. The model enclosure measures 445 x 43.6 x 365 mm and has a total assembled weight of 5.6 kg. The dual output bus bars are provided on both sides of the rear panel and wired in parallel internally. A keying option prevents insertion of modules with an incorrect output voltage into any rack slot. Each module slot provides a dedicated single phase AC input from 85 to 265 Vac at 47 to 63 Hz. An isolated auxiliary DC supply of 11.2 to 12.5 VDC provides a maximum output current of 0.5 A. The output voltage is adjustable via a rear panel trimmer or external 0 to 5 V analog programming signal.
The per slot supervisory signals are accessed through a rear mounted 40 pin J1 control connector on theshelf rack. The open collector signals for DC OK, AC Fail, Over Temperature Alarm and Power Supply Existence are provided per slot. Individual INHIBIT inputs per module and a rack-level ENABLE input allow independent and global output switching. A rear-panel RJ45 J2 connector enables parallel interconnection of two racks for increased combined output current.
The HFE1600-S1U-TB operates from – 10 °C to + 50 °C at 100 % load with output de rating applied up to + 70 °C. The storage temperature range extends from – 30 °C to + 85 °C at a relative humidity of up to 95 % without condensation. The unit meets IEC60068-2-64 for vibration and IEC60068-2-27 for shock per basic transportation test requirements. The maximum operational altitude is 3000 meters above sea level in a Pollution Degree 2 indoor environment. The insulation resistance exceeds 100 MΩ at 25 °C and 70 % RH measured at 500 Vdc output to ground.
