The TDK Lambda JWS600-5 is a unit type AC-DC power supply designed for industrial automation applications. This single phase unit delivers a rated DC output of 5 Vdc at a maximum output power of 600W. The model accepts a universal AC input spanning 85 to 265 Vac at frequencies between 47 and 63 Hz. The DC input is also supported from 120 to 330 Vdc for greater system design flexibility. The model measures 160 mm in width with a depth of 200 mm and a height of 92 mm. The unit has a typical weight of 3000 g making it practical for standard industrial panel mounting. The operating efficiency for the model is specified at a typical value of 75 % under rated load conditions. The active power factor correction in the power supply minimizes harmonic disturbances on the supply line.
At 100 VAC full load, the power factor reaches a typical 0.99 for efficient operation. At 200 VAC full load, the power factor maintains a typical value of 0.95 ensuring consistent input efficiency. This high power factor reduces reactive power losses in the industrial supply network. The DC input capable design of the power supply supports integration with battery backed or DC bus powered systems. The chassis mount configuration provides a secure mechanical interface designed for installation within industrial control enclosures.
The output voltage of the power supply is adjustable from 4.5 to 6 Vdc to suit precise application requirements. The remote sense functionality for the model compensates for resistive voltage drops across the wiring between the unit and its load. This ensures accurate voltage delivery at the load terminals regardless of the cable impedance present. The cooling in the JWS600-5 Unit Type Power Supply is handled by forced air circulation from a built in internal fan. The full 100 % output capacity of the model is sustained across an ambient operating temperature range of – 10 °C to + 50 °C. The output capacity derates to 60 % at + 60 °C and reduces further to 55 % at + 65 °C ambient temperature.
