TDK Lambda LA-200 DC Power Supply
The TDK-Lambda LA-200 DC power supply is a compact regulated source unit. It requires a nominal 16.5 V output at 4 A current. This rating corresponds to 66 W highest output power available to the connected electronic circuitry under nominal conditions. The range for rated output current capability can extend from 0 A up to 5 A. The input section of the LA-200 DC power supply accepts a wide range AC source. Power conversion stages are optimized for efficiency so internal losses and generated heat are significantly reduced. Lower dissipation simplifies thermal design when the unit shares enclosures with other heat producing assemblies.
The unit works with convection cooling where natural airflow around the chassis provides sufficient heat removal. Configurations with an internal fan exhaust air from the fan end into the surrounding enclosure space. The specified operating temperature range for the supply extends from -25 °C to +70 °C. The LA-200 power supply contains an output loading that can be linearly reduced to 60% between 50°C and 70°C ambient. The unit comes with a relative humidity span that covers 20% to 90% in non-condensing environments. The dielectric strength of the LA-200 power supply satisfies rigid isolation verification requirements fully. Shock resistance is defined as less than 196.1 m per second squared equivalent to 20 G for handling stresses expected for fixed industrial and communication equipment.
The TDK Lambda LA-200 meets class B conducted and radiated emission limits for sensitive environments. Compliance with EN55011 EN55022 class B and FCC class B simplifies electromagnetic compatibility integration tasks. Mechanical height of the unit is suitable for 1U rack applications. The input to ground withstands 1.5 kVAC for one minute under routine production test conditions. Output to ground withstands 500 VAC for 1 minute maintaining separation of user accessible load conductors. The DC Power Supply has an insulation resistance that exceeds 100 M Ohms at 25 °C using 500 VDC. The immunity performance meets IEC61000-4-2 through IEC61000-4-6 requirements and also complies with IEC61000-4-8 and IEC61000-4-11 standards. The safety approvals include UL, CSA and cUL certifications. The unit is additionally evaluated for European agreement by ensuring validated operational safety.
