TDK Lambda RWS300B-48 Single Output General Purpose Power Supply
The TDK Lambda RWS300B-48 is a single output general purpose AC/DC power supply designed for demanding industrial automation systems. It delivers a regulated 48 V DC output with a maximum continuous current of 6.3 A. The model operates reliably under full load conditions and is rated at 302.4 W total output power. The output voltage is adjustable between 43.2 V and 52.8 V using the built in trim function.
The power supply accepts a wide operating AC input voltage from 85 Vac to 265 Vac. The nominal input is rated from 100 Vac to 240 Vac and is safety certified from 90 to 264 Vac. The input frequency ranges from 47 to 63 Hz with safety certification valid for 50 to 60Hz systems. The DC input is also supported from 120 Vdc to 370 Vdc for non AC installation configurations. The input current of the model at 115 Vac is 3.6 A and reduces to 1.9 A at 230 Vac under full load. The power supply withstands input surge voltages up to 300 Vac sustained for up to 5 seconds. The cold start inrush current at 200 Vac is typically rated at 34 A for the unit. The input hold up time is maintained at 20 ms for both 110 Vac and 220 Vac input conditions.
The power supply achieves typical efficiencies of 85 % at 115 Vac and 88 % at 230 Vac. The power factor is 0.95 at 100 Vac and 0.90 at 200 Vac under typical operating conditions. The harmonic emissions are designed to comply with IEC61000-3-2 standards for industrial power applications. The power factor correction operates at 65 kHz while the main switching output frequency is 120 kHz. The line regulation of the RWS300B-48 General Purpose Power Supply for the 48 V output is specified at 192mV across the input voltage range. The load regulation is rated at 384 mV and ripple and noise is contained within 200 mV. The output temperature coefficient is 0.02%/°C with no minimum load required for stable operation. An external load capacitance of up to 10,000 microfarads is supported directly at the output terminals.
