Keysight 42030A Four-Terminal Pair Standard Resistor Set
The Keysight 42030A Four-Terminal Pair Standard Resistor Kit is an accurate calibration tool employed to calibrate and test four-terminal pair measurement-terminal-equipped LCR meters. Nine individual module resistors form this kit, each created to perform steadily in various ambient temperatures to yield reliable repetitive measurements. The resistors cover a wide range of nominal DC resistance values from 1 mΩ to 100 kΩ, with tolerances between ±0.1% and ±0.2%, depending on the model. All these modules have been created to eliminate lead impedance and lead resistance to yield accurate impedance measurements in various automated industrial processes, electronic testing, and metrology.
Included in this kit are the 42031A (1 mΩ), 42032A (10 mΩ), 42033A (100 mΩ), 42034A (1 Ω), 42035A (10 Ω), 42036A (100 Ω), 42037A (1 kΩ), 42038A (10 kΩ), and 42039A (100 kΩ) resistors, in addition to a specialized carrying case (42030-60100) and a calibration report. Operating temperatures in ideal ambient temperatures between 23°C ±5°C to ≤70% relative humidity, storing temperatures between -40°C to +70°C to ≤95% humidity at 40°C. Dimensions for each module are 94 mm × 31 mm × 67 mm with a mass of 170 grams, while the overall kit is 3,700 grams.
The 42030A resistors have stable temperatures between ±15 ppm/°C to ±10 ppm/°C with yearly stability between ±100 ppm to prevent drift over time. Calibration is available from series resistance to reactance to parallel resistance to susceptance with uncertainty limits to frequencies of 13 MHz. As an example, in the 10 Ω (42035A) resistor case, uncertainty in AC calibration is ±0.12% in series resistance increasing to ±1.5% in increasing to 13 MHz. Likewise, in the case of higher-value resistors such as the 100 kΩ module (42039A), susceptance uncertainty is ±0.02 μS to 100 kHz.
