This system supports bi-directional DC power modules operating at 40V or 120V and provides a scalable and flexible power range of 12 to 252kW. Up to 21 channels can be configured with remarkable flexibility, giving users the ability to test several battery modules or energy storage devices concurrently or in parallel, depending on the power needs.
This technology is very useful for testing in critical power applications, renewable energy storage, and electric car industries. The NHR 9200 is built to be a battery/DC emulator, high-power DC source, regenerative DC source, and battery cycler in order to accommodate changing battery testing requirements. By repurposing over 87% of waste energy as electrical power, regenerative power technology provides great energy efficiency and can help lower a facility's carbon footprint while promoting environmental sustainability programs.
With its tester-per-channel design, the NHR 9200 enables 12kW DC power modules to operate independently. These modules offer exceptional versatility for facilities evaluating a range of battery types, as they may be dynamically designed to work within a single cabinet or across numerous cabinets. This feature guarantees the best possible use of testing resources by supporting various test plans, power levels, and schedules for smaller batteries. By connecting modules in parallel, it is also possible to test higher power batteries.
The NHR 9200 is designed to withstand future testing needs, even in situations where users are unsure of the precise voltage and current combinations required. This is because to its wide operating power envelopes. Advanced macros enable the system's sub-millisecond mode, voltage, and current changes, enabling high-speed waveform recording and accurate modeling of real-world situations. These characteristics guarantee that the system can accurately simulate difficult transient circumstances.The NHR 9200 provides 8kW of source and 12kW of sink programmable bi-directional power for every test channel. With constant-voltage, constant-current, and constant-power regulation modes supported, it can be used as a completely programmable power supply, load, or battery. This allows it to adapt to a variety of ordinary charge patterns.
