The Spirent DLS5A40 Quad AWG Board is a high-precision Arbitrary Waveform Generator designed to to meet the stringent requirements of xDSL and communication testing. This card can provide emulation of real-world noise environments, including white noise, crosstalk, and RFI, for the testing of modems and DSLAMs using already established standards such as ITU-T and ANSI. With four independent output channels, the DLS5A40 can generate a wide range of impairments, ensuring comprehensive testing for conformance and performance evaluations.
The DLS5A40 works in tandem with Spirent's noise injection systems, for instance, the DLS-5402DC, to allow for seamless delivery of both differential and common-mode noise in test settings. The DLS5A40 has support for 32 MB per channel of deep execution memory, combined with a capacity for storing and generating complicated waveforms; this is very important for the simulation of high-crest-factor signals, hence making the DLS5A40 simulate test scenarios as realistic as possible to replicate field conditions.
The DLS5A40 Quad AWG Board offers new dimensions in the testing of ADSL, ADSL2, and VDSL technologies both in the lab and production environment. Due to its fit into automation frameworks, such as Spirent's scripting tools, the real utility of the DLS5A40 for automated, repeatable test setups is considerably extended.
