Keysight/Agilent E1469A 4 x 16 Relay Matrix Switch

The E1469A from Keysight/Agilent is a C size single slot register based VXI module designed for relay matrix switching. It features a 64 channel two wire relay component card natively configured in a 4 x 16 matrix topology. The model includes a terminal block that provides structured signal routing across all 64 crosspoints. The matrix switch is designed to switch both high and low signals independently on each individual crosspoint. The module accepts a maximum DC voltage of 220 V and an AC rms voltage of 250 V. The per channel current capacity is rated at 1 Adc or ac rms for supply voltages below 30 Vdc/rms. For voltages below 220 Vdc/rms, the maximum per channel current is 0.3 Adc or ac rms. These per channel current ratings apply exclusively to resistive and non inductive load configurations for proper operation.

The maximum power dissipation per module is fixed at 40 VA for safe and continuous operation. The Relay Matrix Switch delivers a maximum thermal offset of 7 μV per channel on the differential Hi Lo path. The initial closed channel resistance per channel is specified at less than 1.5 Ω at first installation. This per channel resistance value remains reliably below 3.5 Ω for switching accuracy at end of life. The insulation resistance of the matrix switch between any two points is rated at 5 x 10? Ω at ≤ 40 °C and ≤ 95 % RH. This same 5 x 10? Ω insulation value is also maintained at conditions of ≤ 25 °C and ≤ 40 % RH. The model achieves a minimum bandwidth of 10 MHz measured at the - 3 dB reference level. The typical bandwidth performance reaches 25 MHz under matched 50 Ω source and load impedance conditions.

The channel to channel crosstalk performance of the Keysight/Agilent E1469A at frequencies below 10 kHz is rated at less than - 90 dB typically. This crosstalk isolation level ensures consistent signal integrity across all active channels within the matrix.
