The Keysight/Agilent E3249B VXI SCSI System Disk with DAT Drive is a C-size two-slot VXI mass storage module. It integrates reliable storage architecture and contains a 2.1-Gbyte hard disk supporting continuous system operations across dedicated VXI testing platforms. The system disk comes with 4-G-byte native capacity and is capable of 8-G-byte compressed archival storage capability efficiently. Single SCSI-II connectors with reliable external controller communications. The isolated SCSI-II interface prevents VXI backplane traffic interruptions during simultaneous measurement and storage operations completely. The disk activity indicator lights up instantly when there is an active read process or write transfer to internal storage. Tape and clean indicators give working feedback on the DAT drive when installing and during scheduled maintenance procedures.
The VXI SCSI System Disk transfers up to 10 megabytes per dedicated SCSI connection. The input connector provides communication between the host computer and the device with short external cable to ensure stable signal transmission reliability. The extra SCSI-II port can be directly connected to compatible external storage devices and hardware. The hard disk has a projected mean-time-between-failures of 800,000 hours. The formatted storage capacity is 4.29 gigabytes which allows for extensive use of application files and the storing of measurement data for a long interval in a targeted manner.

The burst asynchronous transfer capability of the E3249B system disk reaches 3 megabytes every second maximizing temporary communication throughput during transfers. The average search speed performance supports efficient tape access during archived data retrieval and verification procedures. The front accessible connectors simplify maintenance procedures and improve operational accessibility within populated VXI rack installations.
