It is designed to meet the ever increasing demands in the markets of radar, satellite, defense, broadband communication, and high-speed components. It functions fully as a test tool for passive-device applications. It can be used to make microwave and millimeter-wave measurements. The Anritsu Lightning 37277D 50GHz Vector Network Analyzer, like other 37200D models, does not measure active-device applications. It does not possess the Gain Compression application or Internal Bias Tees. The Anritsu 37277D VNA model however has powerful functions that guarantee accurate test and measurement outputs.

The Anritsu 37277D Vector Network Analyzer system is a self-sufficient measurement system. To configure into a millimeter-wave (mmW) testing tool, a mmW test set is added along with 2 synthesizers and the relevant mmW modules. Other features include High Stability Time Base, Rear Panel Extension Links, Time Domain Capability, and 1Hz Frequency Resolution.
A useful feature of the Anritsu Lightning 37277D VNA is that it can also be upgraded to a premium version (37377D 50GHz). An upgrade gives room for a more powerful and versatile performance.
